About me

Hi, I’m Daniel Maisack and I can look back on 25 years of experience in developing 2 component reactive systems. In my education to lab technician at HOECHST AG I came into contact with epoxy-based systems the first time. After that I was able to gain more insight in developing epoxy resin and hardener formulations during my time at CTP GmbH. Following this I went to Emden (northern Germany) to study chemical engineering but always wanted to be connected to the coating industry. That was the time where I worked, in parallel to my studies, at AB Polymerchemie GmbH. Here I got the chance to have more insight into different binder materials like PU, PUR and hybrid systems. In addition, I could expand my knowledge in formulating epoxy systems. 

After my study I worked at KCH GmbH in Siershahn where I was responsible for the R+D lab developing industrial coatings for heavy-duty steel and concrete protection. The binder systems which we worked with were epoxy, polyurethane, vinyl ester, furanic resin and phenolic resins. 

After this experience I went back to AB Polymerchemie GmbH as the Head of the industrial flooring systems lab where I was responsible for formulating different systems for numerous applications starting from “typical” flooring materials to 2K-hot-spray membrane and based on different technologies from solvent borne to solvent free to water borne (polyurethane and epoxy). A part of the brief during this time was the transfer of newly developed systems into full production and troubleshooting any technical or quality issues during production. I gain great insights in this position including the application of these systems on site together with experts. 
In my last working station at CTP-AM as head of research and development for the flooring and coating sector, I developed modern binder materials in epoxy chemistry  under the newest regulations of authority. Also, part of my job was to give technical support of these products for different applications, globally. Because of that I got a lot of inside knowledge what is needed on the different market places all over the world. Beside this I was able to gain good relationships to technical partners and suppliers which can assist me by solving your issues .
Also, I developed and implemented production scenarios (from synthesis to mixing) into the production sites.
